Été 2017 - Retour sur Katmandu...

Départ de Gatineau, mardi, le 4 juillet 2017, vers Katmandu... Left home on the 4th of July for the USA to bring back our catamaran. 
Une soirée, pleine de feux d'artifices, lots of fireworks on the way.
Got to Green Cove Springs Marina, Thursday morning, so we can prepare the boat for launching. On arrive à la marina jeudi matin, le 6 juillet 2017. 
Il fait une humidité et une chaleur d'enfer!  It's excessively moist and hot.
But Philip did some nice pictures, mais comme toujours Philip a l'oeil pour de belles photos.

Youppi! Mise à l'eau réussit... Katmandu flotte après 3 mois d'attente.

Launching is a success! Katmandu is ready to go after 3 months of waiting.

la première attente pour un pont à bascule. Captain Phil et sa mousse, firstmate, Gigi. We are waiting at the Florida East Coast Line RR Bridge.

Plus de peur que de mal, un arrêt oblige au prochain quai disponible, le courrant est trop fort et on goute a notre première orage.

More fear than evil, a stop obliges the next available dock,                  the current is too strong and we taste our first storm.

Monday, July 10th, Jim King Park, outside Jacksonville, at Sister Creek, he's enjoying the peace by the water before feeding the birds. 
6h30, au bord de l'eau, un beau matin pour faire un peu de méditation avant de nourrir les oiseaux!

Kingsley Creek Twin Bridge, très belle navigation, ce matin, un bon vent du sud-est.
Beautiful weather with a soft SouthEast wind in Florida.

Une marina délaissée, Fernandina Beach encore meurtri par l'ouragan Mathew en octobre dernier.  
Hurricane Mathew has done lots of damage in this area.

2nd night out! 2e nuit sur l'eau, Jekyll Harbor marina, Georgia (98 km - 9 h de navigation)

Nous avons un petit visiteur, a nice visitor on Katmandu...

Time to relax, Spa and Rain...
